Heifetz BBYO is the first BBYO chapter in Madison in almost a decade, and the only Wisconsin Region chapter outside of Milwaukee. Named after the late Jake Heifetz, a local holocaust survivor, Heifetz BBYO has seen incredible success since our first program in November 2012. In March, we elected our first board, and on May 22nd Heifetz became officially recognized by the international board of BBYO as the 5608th chapter. Later that week, an article about Heifetz BBYO was in the Madison Jewish News and featured on bbyo.org. Fun and interesting programs are also a main priority for Heifetz BBYO. Some examples of Heifetz programming include: bowling, laser tagging, campfires, mini golfing, and volunteering with Jewish Social Services. Heifetz BBYO members also have the opportunity to go to Wisconsin Region BBYO conventions and programs, which are an amazing time and a great way to make friends from the Milwaukee area! Although it is a co-ed chapter, the Alephs of Heifetz enjoy the brotherhood and zany good times that come with AZA. We can be contacted at [email protected].
